8o (184 x 122 mm). Contemporary red morocco, gilt-lettered and ruled on spine, top edge gilt, by Officina Bodoni; morocco-faced slipcase. Provenance: Tammaro De Marinis (1878-1969, bookplate, notes and correspondence laid-in).
LIMITED EDITION, one of 350 copies. Laid-in is a note from De Marinis stating that the original of the copy used for this facsimile was purchaed by him in 1925 at the Olschki sale which was sold in 1932 to the Bibliotheca Palatina in Parma. Also laid-in are two notes from P. Lorzanello, director of the Bibliotheca Palatina, to De Marinis, both 1933, relating to the acquisition of the Moyllus and the publication of the facsimile. Stanley Morison notes in his introduction that "Mr. Olschki's discovery [of the book] is then a unique copy and does not possess such an accidental datum as an early owner's year of acquisition, and it is impossible to date the book with any precision."
