Reflections In A Golden Eye, 1967
A collection of material relating to Reflections In A Golden Eye, including:
- a revised script, with title page glued to the cream paper covers inscribed in Brando's hand Marlon Brando, Please Return, 143pp. of mimeographed typescript, including several pages of script revisions dated 21 September, 1966, some pages with Brando's part as Major Weldon Pendleton circled in red ink; and an additional script with blue and white paper covers;
- a typescript letter, signed, from Tony Richardson, dated 10 September, 1964, on Filmways headed stationery, telling him Here is the script of REFLECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE. It is by no means finished, but probably will give you the correct idea of what I intend to do with the film than the novel. I would love to talk to you about it as soon as you have a chance to read it. Liz Taylor is pretty well set up and we could do it within the Universal set-up... 1p.;
- approximately 20 black and white stills, the majority of Brando as Major Pendleton, one of Brando with Director, John Huston, all -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.);
- a quantity of press clippings regarding the film's release, some Xeroxes; and related material (a lot)
