A Victorian gilt-brass carriage timepiece

The case with typical Dent handle with faceted body, hinged in the recessed top with bevelled escapement viewing glass, solid rear door with shuttered apertures for wind and hand set, white enamel dial signed Dent 61 Strand London 1503 with seconds and blued steel hands, the substantial movement with four robust pillars, chain fusee with maintaining power, large escapement platform with wide diameter cut bimetallic balance, flat blued hairspring and underslung lever; with the original numbered winding key and leather-covered travelling case with blue velvet lining
