The skeletonised silvered dial with shield-shaped Roman chapters and blued steel hands, signed Andreas Müller in Wein on a plaque in the centre, the movement with thick circular delicately pierced plates secured by four milled and turned pillars, triple going barrels, the going train with anchor escapement with tracery pierced pendulum bob, the quarters striking on a gong of high pitch with the hours striking on a gong of lower tone, trip repeat, the movement mounted on two gilt columns with silvered capitals, the gongs supported on an elaborate foliate cast silvered lyre-shaped stand, the whole on an oval gilt-metal base within a foliate cast silvered moulding; oval ebonised base and glass dome (cracked)
