The narrow silvered Roman chapter ring with blued steel hands, delicate scroll frame with seven ring-turned pillars pinned to the backplate and with blued steel screws at the front plate, going barrel and large great wheel with five crossings, second and third wheels with five crossings, half deadbeat escapement, passing strike on a gong in the oval mahogany plinth; with the original? glass dome

The single train clocks by Condliff were the simplest and possibly most elegant of all. The use of a great wheel and no fusee is typical of this particular range. the quality remained the same as his 1st and 2nd series clocks and they were offered either with or without passing strike depending the buyer's depth of pocket
