The gilt-metal frame with five double screwed pillars, going barrels at either end giving power to the delicate going and strike trains, the going with anchor escapement and gridiron pendulum with indirect bevel drive to the clock dial above the plates with white enamel Roman chapter disc and blued steel hands, the strike train with polished steel rack and bell-bar counterbalance system striking on a bell above the barrel, the oval ebonised base housing a musical movement with pin barrel and steel comb, the brass block numbered 2467, pull wind and lever in the side for two tune selection and trip release, glass dome (cracked)

Owing to the delicate nature of a skeleton clock frame, miniature examples are exceedingly rare. The present example is a remarkable achievement of clockmaking, it was quite probably made for an exhibition and appears to be an unrecorded example.
