The ripple-moulded case with detachable stepped top set with a flush-folding brass handle engraved DETACHED LEVER TIMEPIECE COMPENSATION BALANCE GOES WHILST WINDING UP & EIGHT DAYS, large platform viewing aperture, brass-lined glazed sides, the moulded base on bun feet, the dial with deep foliate engraved gilt mask to the white enamel chapter disc signed Arnold & Dent London, blued steel moon hands, the four pillar single chain fusee movement with maintaining power, large gilt lever platform with underslung escape wheel and cut bimetallic compensated balance with circular timing screws and blued steel flat hair spring, the backplate signed Arnold & Dent London; the underside of the case pasted with a label inscribed in ink Miss Weston, Thorpe House Norwich
