The case of waisted form cast with elaborate foliate scrolls and flowerheads, white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed Jn Baptiste Baillon with pierced and chased ormolu hands, applied gilt fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the large movement with circular brass plates with six back-pinned baluster pillars and twin spring barrels, verge escapement with silk-suspended pendulum, the hours struck on a bell via a calibrated countwheel on the backplate signed J Bte Baillon AParis No. 3966
