The case decorated overall with raised gilt Chinoiserie figures and houses in Japanese garden landscapes, brass handle to the inverted bell top, pineapple finials, foliate pierced and engraved brass quarter frets to the front door, glazed sides, the engraved and silvered dial signed Francs Jersey. London. in the centre with calendar aperture, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, applied gilt-brass foliate cast spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with pivoted knife-edge verge escapement and strike on a bell, the backplate well engraved with a Chinese figure on a bridge with a sand glass beside him, all within scrolling foliage and further signed Frans Jersey London
