A set of eighteen George III silver dinner-plates
Mark of Paul Storr, London, 1801
Each circular, with gadrooned border, engraved with a coat-of-arms, each marked on reverse, also engraved with number and scratchweight
9 7/8in. (25.2cm.) diam.

The arms are those of Carpenter with another in pretence, for either George, 2nd Earl of Tyrconnel (1750-1805) and his second wife Sarah, youngest daughter and co-heir of John, 1st and last Baron Delaval (d.1808), whom he married in 1780, or his second son John, 4th Earl of Tyrconnel (1790-1853) and his wife Sarah, only daughter of Robert Crowe, of Kilpin, co. York, whom he married in 1817. (18)
