Hexafoil, on three scroll bracket feet, with moulded border, the field later engraved with a lozenge-of-arms, marked on base
9¾in. (24.5cm.) diam.
15oz. (470gr.)
The arms are those of Pye as borne by the Pye family of Hone, co. Derby, possibly for Mary Pye (d.1774), youngest daugher and eventual heir of Sir Charles Pye 2nd. Bt. (d.1721) and sister of Sir Robert Pye F.R.S. 4th and last Bt. (d.1734).
