Mark of John Bodington, London, 1699
Slightly flaring cylindrical on spreading circular foot and with gadrooned borders and two beaded scroll handles, with applied lower beaded cut-card work border, the slightly domed detachable cover similarly decorated and with fluted baluster finial, the body and cover engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on body and cover, each also engraved with scratchweight '36=4'

The arms are those of Musgrave with a cadency mark for the 6th son impaling Wyndham, as borne by the Musgraves of Old Cleve, co. Somerset.
