A Charles II silver porringer and cover
Mark of Thomas Jenkins, London, 1682
Slightly flaring cylindrical on circular foot, with two slim scroll handles, the base repoussé and chased with a broad band of acanthus leaves, the detachable cover with a central spiral band of the same, and with acanthus bud finial, the base engraved with a monogram 'E*O', marked on base and cover, the base also engraved with scratchweight 15=80 and, possibly later, with date '1682'
