The first drawing is a study for the sixth plate from a set of fourteen illustrating a carousel that was held at Modena on 10 April 1652. The third drawing relates to the set of six etchings depicting eagles (De V. 720-725). The fifth drawing, a portrait of Cosimo III de' Medici, can be compared to two equestrian portraits in the Louvre (F. Viatte, Dessins de Stefano della Bella, Paris, 1974, nos. 407-408).
