One drawing is a study for De V. 775, part of a set of the Suite de douze paysages published by Pierre Mariette in Paris in 1641. Another relates to De V. 15, part of the set of prints of The Rest into the Flight into Egypt dated by Phyllis Dearborn Massar to 1641, and one is close to a drawing of a helmeted soldier drawing his crossbow from the Tomkins album, sold in these Rooms, 18 March 1975, part of lot 31.
