Levels: lot 1255 all top shoulder or better, bin soiled labels and signs of old seepage; lot 1256 ten upper shoulder or better, two upper/mid shoulder, bin soiled labels, signs of old seepage, two corroded capsules
"Most recently, no longer deep in colour; nose 'OK', but 'unattractive, unstable' and put off by its end bite. One might have thought it could cope with fromages affines, but it didn't. Last noted at the Fete de la Fleur dinner at Ch Pontet-Canet, June 1999. At best ****(just). I think it worth requoting my Jane Mansfield analogy; 'mean, moody and magnificent'." MB, Vintage Wine
