A kinji ground rectangular suzuribako
with pewter rims, decorated in iroe-hiramakie, kirigane and nashiji with a Noh mask, a sho, a drum, a saddle, a samisen case, the nashiji interior decorated with a hut among chrysanthemums on a river bank and fitted with a silvered copper water dropper modelled as a quail among millet and an ink stone -- 9in. (22.9cm) long, (some loss to lacquer, scratches, old wear and minor cracks).
