manuscript on paper, 13ll. of black naskh with interlinear Persian translation in red nasta'liq, gold roundels between verses, gold margins between black rules, copious marginal notes in black and red, sura headings in red in gold ruled panels, the following bismillah with gold foliate decoration, gold and polychrome illuminated opening bifolio, Persia, signed by Muhammad b. al-Shaikh Abu'l-Fadl al-Lamjawani(?) known as Baha al-Din and dated the 2nd day of the 3rd month AH 1096(?)/1684-5 AD, later red morocco binding with gold decoration - 9 x 6¼in. (22.8 x 15.8cm.)
