A Queen Anne style walnut longcase clock
The hood with inset columns and glazed side panels, with ebonised frame to the trunk door lenticle, the 12 in. square brass dial with engraved border, replaced cherub and coronet spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, with sword hilt half hour markers and cross half quarter hour markers, signed Rog.r Dunster London, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring, blued steel hands, with mask and scroll engraving around the square date aperture, the eight day movement with five ringed pillars, anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on bell; associated, dial and movement circa 1705, case 20th century -- 86¼ in. (219 cm.) high
