A George III oak and mahogany cross-banded thirty-hour longcase clock, late 18th century
The hood with outset front-fluted columns, the trunk flanked by fluted three-quarter length pilasters, the 12 in. square painted dial with flower spandrels to Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track, the centre painted with a sailing ship above an arch date aperture, pinned directly to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell -- 75 in. (191 cm.) high
