The hood with outset brass stop-fluted columns, the trunk and plinth similarly flanked by stop-fluted half columns, the 12 in. wide brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with silvered subsidiary seconds ring and silvered later/replaced plaque signed John Master/LONDON, strike/silent ring in the arch, blued steel hands, the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 91¾ in. (233 cm.) high
