MID 18TH CENTURY AND FIRST HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY
The wine-glass with a funnel-bowl engraved with a flower-spray and with remains of gilding to the engraving and rim, the stem enclosing a central translucent red ribbon entwined by two white ribbons and within two multiple opaque-twist spirals, conical foot, 6 in. (15.3 cm.) high; the decanter of mallet shape, the lower part with flutes, the shoulder faceted and with a band of diamond-cutting, the neck with three rings, with later star-cut mushroom stopper, and a white metal label on chain impressed IRISH, 9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) high (2)
