A façon-de-Venise latticinio tankard (Henkelkrug)
LATE 16TH/17TH CENTURY, PROBABLY NORTHERN EUROPE, VARIOUS PAPER COLLECTOR'S LABELS INCLUDING ONE FOR THE E.T.H. COLLECTION NO. 481 AND ANOTHER WITH K BENEATH A CORONET
Of brownish tint and in vetro a retorti with alternating bands of gauze and ribbon, the slender tapering body with an applied clear glass double band below the rim and strap handle with small thumbrest, with spreading footrim and shallow kick-in base (two cracks to base extending from the rim towards the centre)
