Lot Essay

The Second Test of the 1907-08 series was played at Melbourne Cricket Ground from the 1st to the 7th January. England won the tense match by 1 wicket. This match was to be the only victory for England in the five Test series. Making 72 and 13 runs, the match also marked Jack Hobbs's international debut.
