Engraved by Francis Lamb for the expanded 1676 editions of Speed's Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World, the map was modelled on the earlier Dutch map of de Wit enhanced by Speed's typical decorative finesse. It extends from India to the Far East and includes southern China, the Malay Peninsula, the Philippines and many of the East Indian islands.
