Engraved portrait frontispiece. 67 folding engraved plates, 8 double-page, and 6 folding letterpress tables. Engraved headpieces and woodcut head- and tailpieces and initials. Retaining final blanks I/L8, II/O12, III/M12, and X/N8. (Variable light spotting and browning, some folding plates creased or with short tears on folds or edges, one trimmed at lower edge.) Contemporary French sprinkled calf, spines gilt in compartments, gilt morocco lettering-pieces in one, lettered in another, the others decorated with fleurons, red-speckled edges (occasional light scuffing, extremities lightly rubbed and bumped, spine-ends lightly chipped, short splits on some joints).
