A mahogany and brass binnacle
John Lilley & Sons Ltd., late 19th century
on an octagonal mahogany footed base, with a brass hood with glass face plate, port and starboard compensating balls painted red and green, lamp holder (lamp missing), hinged access panel in the back of the hood, fitted with a gimballed Cassens & Plath (Bremen) compass, with maker's plate attached to the front
