A large famille rose baluster vase, 19th century
with twin dragon handles, painted around the body with a wide band depicting bearded figures and children beneath pine observing crane in flight carrying an incense stick towards a temple immersed in waves, within bands of formal lotus scroll on a ruby scraffiato ground, key-fret borders to the rim and foot, iron red Qianlong six-character mark to base -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high, carved and pierced wood stand.
