After studying in Stockholm, Forsberg spent a long time abroad. In 1904 he organised an exhibition in Stockholm which concentrated on watercolours from his travels to Italy and Switzerland. He had a similar exhibition in 1913, showing views of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen and the coast of Denmark. The National Museum of Stockholm conserves some of his works.
