The English dealer Thomas B. Blow, whose name appears only on work signed by Takebe, lived in Japan at least from 1906 until 1914 and returned there in 1930. An inscription on a postcard in one of the volumes in Lot 220, Japanese Art and Design, November 2002 indicates that he was still living in 1932.1
