The slightly domed closefitting cover and exterior ground decorated with hishi [water caltrop], gold usu-niku-takamaki-e and shakudo inlays with flower heads, many enriched with gold and silver kirikane, the base and riser nashiji, silver cord rings with kiku mounts, fundame rims, nashiji interior, some old damage to the cover
