Two silver pipes and a pipecase
Edo-Meiji Period (19th Century)
The first a heavy silver pipe carved in shishiaibori and takabori with tree peonies growing over rocks; the second with centre section of plain bamboo and the two ends of silver shakudo and nunome-zogan decorated with brocade patterns, shippo and crosses; and a stagantler pipecase carved in high and low relief with tea-ceremony utensils
