The carved red lacquer ground decorated with peonies on a geometric design, compartments and risers nashiji, fundame rims and an attached red lacquer manju with silver ring fitting; and another three-case inro, the red lacquer ground decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e with a traveller walking beside a stream, compartments and risers nashiji, fundame rim, signed Kuhei and kao, some old damage
