Signed Jakushi, Edo Period (18th Century)
An aorigata iron tsuba depicting a Chinese style mountainous lakeside landscape in nikubori with gilt and some metal detail, on the reverse a similar scene with figures on a bridge, signed Jakushi; a mokkogata tsuba decorated with leaves and flowers in gilt nunomezogan, 18th Century; a circular iron Yoshirozogan tsuba with Chinese vines in brass hirazogan, 17th Century; a juji-mokkogata tsuba, stylised rain-dragons and imitation of European letters in gilt and silver nunomezogan, unsigned, Hizen school, 17th-18th Century; and a circular iron tsuba, chrysanthemum flowers and leaves in yosukashi and shinchu hirazogan, unsigned, Heianjo style, 18th Century
