Edo period (17th century), signed Echizen ju Hoki (no) Kami Fujiwara Hirotaka
Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: ko-mokume of jinie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: notare with hints of gunome midare of nie and ara nie, with ashi, yo and kinsuji
Boshi [tip]: ko-maru
Nakago [tang]: ubu with one hole katte-sagari file marks
Habaki [collar]: single, silver with cat scratch marks
In shirasaya [wood storage scabbard]
Koshirae [set of mounts]: comprising a black-lacquer saya mounted with iron fuchi-kashira with stirrups in grassy marshes inlaid in gold; copper dragon and vajra menuki; iron sukashi tsuba carved with maple leaves in low relief and pierce-carved with a conch shell, shakudo rim
