Edo period (19th century), signed Yamato kuni ju Kunitsugu
Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame tending toward masame in the shinogi
Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome with choji of nioi and nie, long ashi with hints of bo-utsuri, yo and sunagashi
Boshi [tip]: ko-maru with a touch of hakikae, monouchi clear and bright
Nakago [tang]: ubu, one hole
Habaki [collar]: single, gilt-silver
Koshirae [set of mounts]: comprising a green lacquer saya decorated with hirame, and with black stripes near the opening, silver kojiri carved as the tail of a shrimp; iron kozuka with a mouse eating chestnuts in silver and traces of shakudo; iron fuchi-kashira carved with fans and mice in silver and gilt highlights; gold and shakudo menuki formed as persimmons; open-work iron tsuba designed with grasses
