Meiji-Taisho period (early 20th century), engraved mark of workshop of Hayashi Kodenji (1831-1915)
Of elongated ovoid form and enamelled in wireless and standard cloisonné enamel in pale pink, pink and light brown and gilt wire with branches of budding and blossoming weeping cherry under the full moon partially obscured by clouds, the ground pale blue; copper mounts
12/18in. (30.8cm.) high
With wood box inscribed Kobako kinyu sha and with illegible signature and seal and dated Aratame Showa juni nen (1937)
