Meiji period (circa 1890), signed Kyoto Namikawa [workshop of Namikawa Yasuyuki, 1845-1927]
The slender ovoid vase designed in polychrome enamels and silver wire with trailing wisteria and butterflies above stands of chrysanthemums, irises, daisies and dandelions on a midnight-blue ground, the neck and foot decorated with formal scrolling flowers; silver mounts; signature on a gilt-silver tablet mounted on base
