Two Wood and Ivory Netsuke**
Edo period (19th century), the first signed Miwa and with kao (cursive monogram), the second signed Gyokkei
Carved as a seated man admiring a tea caddy, the lid of the caddy and the handle of the man's tanto rendered in ivory; himotoshi lined in ivory; the second carved as an exorcist squatting to rest while carrying a sack containing exorcized demons, one demon about to escape through a hole in the sack
