Edo period (19th century)
Each rectangular with wide, flat shoulders and a narrow, cylindrical spout surrounded at the base with a chrysanthemum and surmounted by a rhomboid stopper, the side panels cut away on the lower half in a semi-arc and lacquered black and decorated on the sides with cranes and bushy-tailed tortoises in chinkin-bori, the ends lacquered red; with a black lacquer stand

With a lacquered-wood storage box inscribed Kissui (2)
