An unusual antique Kuba long rug, East Caucasus
The sandy-yellow field with polychrome hooked medallions, hooked vine, small rosettes, angular palmettes and hooked leaves, in an ivory border of serrated palmettes and glass motifs between blue hooked rosettes and barber-pole stripes, slight even wear, part guard stripe rewoven at each end (very well done), repiled black and small repairs on ends (well blended), generally good condition throughout
