Lot Essay

Domitian was a cruel and tyrannical ruler, murdering eleven consular senators during his reign and any other threat to his absolute autonomy. Even his wife, Domitia Longina, was driven to conspiring with other leading figures of Domitian's administration, to assassinate him in AD 96.
