A FRENCH EMPIRE ORMOLU MOUNTED MAHOGANY LIT-EN-BATEAU
FIRST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY
With scrolled panelled ends mounted with rosettes, seahorses and winged male figures, with a deeply carved side panel centred by a beaded roundel with a mask and crescent and issuing flowering and foliate stems, the seahorse mounts original, the rosettes probably later, and presumably originally with turned top rails.
