The scalloped sides painted to the exterior with alternate fan-shaped panels enclosing birds perched on branches in underglaze-blue, a moonlit landscape decorated in gilt on a powder-blue ground, the 'hundred antiquities' in famille verte palette and scrolling lotus in iron-red and gilt, the inner roundel with shells floating above foaming waves with fire-scrolls, below a border with butterflies and flowers around the wavy rim, small rim chips and frittings
