A pair of Export Meissen-style circular tureens and covers
Mid Qianlong
Painted to each side and the cover with shaped gilt-edged cartouches enclosing a European landscape, depicting various figures in Western 18th Century dress standing on a bank and crossing the river in small boats, in the distance church towers and smaller buildings, surrounded by swirls in sepia and iron-red and various narrow bands with chain and leafy motifs, applied to the sides with ribbed semi-circular handles, the domed cover with knop finial, superficial small chips, hairline crack and retouching
