The dial with engraved border and foliate spandrels to silvered and arcaded Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with silvered plaque signed JNS DU CHESNE AMSTERDAM, subsidiary seconds ring with date aperture to its centre, alarm setting disc behind black painted hands, a fan-shaped sector below indicating day of week with appropriate figure and zodiacal symbol, the arch painted with figure of a lady and a man playing the flute, centred by a rolling moon with its age indicated above, the eight day movement with anchor escapement, Dutch strike/alarm/trip repeat on two bells; pendulum, 2 brass weights, crank key
