The large hood with glazed door, pierced side panels and ebonised pilasters surmounted by a broken pediment with carved wood vase-shaped finials, the tail with gilt bronze vase mount to the lenticle, the painted dial with silvered arcaded Roman and Arabic chapter ring and date aperture, pierced hands beneath the rolling moonphase, the movement with baluster-turned pillars, the three airs musical movement with twenty hammers on eleven bells, anchor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells; pendulum
