The broad sides carved with stepped panels, one carved in low relief with a pair of deer in a landscape incorporating a pine tree, the other with a pair of cranes standing beneath a peach tree, with bats amidst clouds on the handle and spout, the canted sides of the cover carved with vignettes of lingzhi, chrysanthemum, narcissus and begonia below the hollowed knop
