WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The domed cover painted with a central medallion of ducks swimming in a lotus pond below two birds in flight while an egret stands on the shore beside stalks of millet, the sides of the cover and box encircled by a band of lotus meander incorporating five babao, the interior of the box divided into five fan-shaped compartments surrounding a circular compartment, with blue line borders at the rims of the dividing walls
