IMPERIAL, PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK IN GREEN ENAMEL AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Finely enamelled on one side with a European lady with hair worn in a high chignon and a young boy presenting her with a red fruit, all in a lush landscape with the ruins of a European building in the distance, the reverse also with a scene of a European lady and young boy in a lush landscape with European buildings in the distance, the lady resting her head on her hand in weariness and contemplating the basket of flowers before her and the boy presenting her with a flower, all below an elaborate, colorful border of scrolls and dots on the shoulder and neck and against a ground of undulating green waves on the narrow sides and above the foot encircled by a band of keyfret, stopper
